West Ham have just been dealt yet another Paqueta blow as things go from bad to worse for Moyes

Lucas Paqueta is currently working really hard to be back in time for West Ham United’s clash with Brentford next week.

West Ham star Lucas Paqueta has been out injured since January 7th, and boy do we need him back for the Brentford game.

The 26-year-old Hammers star returned to full training on the grass with his teammates at the end of last week, and at the time that was a huge boost for us.

David Moyes desperately needs the Brazilian back, with his job currently on the line at the London Stadium.

Unfortunately though, it seems like the Scot will have to wait a little while longer yet before Paqueta returns…

West Ham dealt yet another Lucas Paqueta blow ahead of Brentford

According to Claret and Hugh, Paqueta will be absent from the squad for Monday’s Premier League clash with Brentford.

That is quite clearly a major blow for Moyes, and the Hammers fans of course.

The Brazilian is absolutely crucial to everything good that we do, and we have badly missed his ability on the ball during his absence.

In fact, it actually quote worrying just how reliant we are on him. Even Emerson Palmieri hasn’t been the same player since Paqueta suffered his injury six weeks ago.

Moyes obviously has to address that problem in the summer by signing a top-class player who can fill in for the South American, and even replace him if he ends up leaving the club.

For the here and now though, we just need him back as soon as possible. Unfortunately for West Ham, it seems as though Lucas Paqueta will not be back in time for our clash with Brentford.

And that will give the away side a huge advantage as far as I’m concerned.
