Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson shared that her husband Casey was rushed to A&E after a kitchen mishap.

On Thursday, the reality TV star and mother-of-two, 32, took to her Instagram stories to update fans on her hectic life and reveal that Casey had suffered a nasty injury at their home and was forced to seek medical attention. While filming herself inside their car, Marnie explained that the pair were on their way home from the hospital and that he was doing 'just fine.'

"The reason why we're out is because we just left A&E is because Casey cut his finger. He peeled his finger with a potato peeler but I can confirm he's aboslutely fine. He's a drama queen. He actually thought that he was septic from a little cut on the finger. I know you can get septic from a cut but Casey had no symptoms and he was playing darts.

However, the 28-year-old former reality show contestant didn't seem at all fazed by his current circumstances as he held up his bandaged finger for the camera. He had one hand on the steering wheel while gruesomely confessing that he bled for 24 hours straight.

Despite this, the former X Factor contestant revealed that 'he was still in a bit of pain' after doctors had treated his wound. Revealing exactly what had happened to him, Casey said that he'd accidentally cut his finger with a potato peeler while in the kitchen.

In a previous clip, Marnie opened up about their polar opposite upbringings and how she couldn't believe they'd ended up together. She said: "Casey was in a school in London and I was in school in Newcastle and somehow we've both ended up together in a village in Bedfordshire. It's mad if someone pulled me aside when I was 16 and was like in ten years you're going to be living in Bedfordshire with this London boy and you're going to have two kids. It's so weird where life takes you.

The couple married back in March 2023. Sharing the news with their fans, Marnie told OK Magazine: "We've finally tied the knot - we're over the moon!" Casey added: "Marnie wanted a really relaxed and fun wedding where people can enjoy themselves, and as it stands this wouldn't be the case."

The happy couple had originally planned to say "I do" in 2021 following the ending of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions but they postponed their day. But they finally had their fairy tale ending and were surrounded by some of her nearest and dearest including her former co-stars as they tied the knot.
