Kirton come back to tie the game at 3-3 against RHP in the Central Midlands League Alliance against RHP

Kirton Brickworks showed resilience to come back from 3-1 against RHP and finish the game tied at 3-3.

Clownes Steele, Sol Miller and George Sheen all netted for the visiting RHP to put them up 3-1 at the break in the Central Midlands League Alliance fixture.

Jack March was the saviour for the hosts as he completed his hat-trick for the side and salvaged a point for his team.

The result saw Kirton notch up 47 points so far this season which is their best tally in the last nine campaigns they have played.

March also set a milestone as he scored his 50th goal in 51 games for the club.

“Not the result we wanted, but probably the one we deserved,” said Kirton manager Jamie Birch.

“Fair play to the lads in the second half, 3-1 down to earn a draw at 3-3.

“We are praying for a miracle for the title now, but we’ll finish the season with our heads held high and give it everything.”

Elsewhere in the Division One East competition, Long Bennington went down 3-1 to Blidworth Welfare with all three goals from the victors coming in the first half hour.
