9 binge-worthy movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this week

With so much content on Netflix, it can often be hard to decide on what to watch but The Focus has picked out nine binge-worthy movies and TV shows coming to the streaming service this week (February 26 – March 3).

From bone-chilling true-crime documentaries and epic sci-fi to thrilling drama and even live sport, there’s certainly plenty on its way to keep Netflix subscribers entertained.

American Conspiracy: The Octopus Murders | February 28

This four-part docuseries explores the story of journalist Danny Casolaro whose death in 1991 was ruled a suicide by police.

However, theories claiming Casolaro was murdered by a secret organization with global political influence have persisted ever since.

Code 8: Part 2 | February 28

Cousins Robbie and Stephen Amell reunite in the sequel to 2019’s Code 8.

Attempting to go straight after his exploits in the first film, Connor (Robbie) finds himself back in deep water when he is forced to help a 14-year-old boy from a pack of corrupt officers, leaving him with no option but to turn to Garrett (Stephen) for help, the man who previously landed him in prison.

The Tourist season 2 | February 29

After season 1 of The Tourist arrived on Netflix at the start of February following its move from HBO Max, season 2 explodes onto the streaming service on the final day of the month.

The story picks up in Ireland as Elliot continues his perilous efforts to uncover his mysterious past and soon finds himself getting dragged into a longstanding family feud where dangerous consequences lie around every twist and turn.

Furies | March 1

Netflix’s newest arrival from France, Furies tells the story of Lyna, a young woman seeking to avenge the death of her father.

Lyna’s quest for vengeance takes her into the criminal underworld of Paris, where she becomes entangled in the web of the six families that control the French capital.

Godzilla (2014) | March 1

Ahead of the release of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire at the end of March, Netflix is giving its subscribers the chance to see where the MosnterVerse franchise began with 2014’s Godzilla.

Directed by Gareth Edwards – who has recently been announced as the director of Jurassic World 4 – the movie follows an American soldier who attempts to reunite with his family while caught in the crossfire between the titular lizard and two terrifying parasitic monsters.

Spaceman | March 1

Adam Sandler stars as Jakub, an astronaut on a solitary research mission at the very edge of the solar system.

When Jakub begins to realize that the marriage he left behind on Earth may not be waiting for him when he gets home, he seeks help from an unlikely source, an alien spider he finds hiding in the bowels of his ship.

Somebody Feed Phil season 7 | March 1

Globe-trotting gourmand Phil Rosenthal returns for the first season of his food series in two years.

This time, Phil’s travels take him from Dubai and Edinburgh to Kyoto and beyond.

The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 | March 1

The year 2024 marks the 10-year anniversary of Andrew Garfield’s second outing as Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

To mark the occasion, both of The Amazing Spider-Man movies are being added to Netflix, giving fans the chance to relive Peter’s epic encounter with the Lizard and his colorful confrontation with the Green Goblin and Electro.

The Netflix Slam – Live broadcast | March 3 at 3:30pm ET / 12:30pm PT

Netflix is continuing its foray into live broadcasting with a one-off tennis match between 22-time Grand Slam champion, Rafael Nadal, and his successor as Spain’s number one player, and current world number two, Carlos Alcaraz.

Coming live from Las Vegas, The Netflix Slam gets underway at 3:30pm ET / 12:30pm PT on March 3.
