Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, repelling attacks by Russian forces near the village of Berdychi (the Donetsk region) and damaging the enemy's ground drone control station, according to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the past day, there have been 79 combat engagements. In total, the enemy launched 1 missile and 58 airstrikes and conducted 70 shelling attacks using reactive volley fire systems on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements.
Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Multi-story and private residences, as well as other infrastructure objects, have suffered destruction and damage.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the formation of advancing enemy groups. Identified units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are fulfilling tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage-reconnaissance activities, shells civilian settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine. They carried out airstrikes in the areas of the Nova Sich in the Sumy region and Velykyi Burluk in the Kharkiv region.
More than 20 settlements experienced enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Klyusy, Bleshnya, Hrem'yach in the Chernihiv region; Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda, Mykitske, Shalyhine, Pavlivka, Khotin, Popivka in Sumy region; Hur'yiv Kozachok, Veterynarne, Vovchansk, Budarky, Chuhunivka, Stroyivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Defense Forces repelled 2 enemy attacks in the areas of Ivanivka and Tabaiivka, and another 14 enemy attacks in the area of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted to dislodge our troops from their positions.
Approximately 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled 5 enemy attacks in the area of the settlement Terny in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted to breach the defense of our troops.
More than 10 settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling, including Nevskе, Bіlohoryvka in the Luhansk region, and Terni, Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spіrne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Defense Forces repelled 5 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements Ivanivske and Klіshchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Predtechine, New York in the Donetsk region.
Additionally, more than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Andriivka, and New York in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements Berdychi, Orlivka, Sevеrne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of New York, Ocheretyne, Novoselivka Persha, Semenivka, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 15 settlements suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Ocheretine, Vovche, Berdychi, Stepove, and Orlivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the area of Novomykhailivka, the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to breach our troops' defense 15 times. Additionally, our defenders repelled 8 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Pobieda in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of the settlements Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region.
Settlements in the Donetsk region, such as Krasnohorivka, Maksymilianivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions. They conducted airstrikes in the areas of the settlements Urozhaine and Staromykhailivske in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 10 settlements suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Prechystivka, Blahodatne, Staromykhailivske, and Rivnopil in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the defense forces repelled 4 enemy attacks west of Verbovyi and in the area of Robotyne, the Zaporizhzhia region.
More than 15 populated areas, including Malynivka, Charivne, Bilohiria, and Novodanylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, over 5 populated areas, including the city of Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
In the Kherson direction, approximately 15 settlements, including the city of Kherson and Zolota Balka, Ivanivka, Sadove, Bilozerka, Tomyna Balka, Stanislav in the Kherson region, and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive
The enemy persists in their intention to dislodge our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
During the past day, there were 4 attempts to storm the positions of our troops.
Enemy losses
Throughout the day, the defense forces' aviation conducted strikes on 9 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Missile troops units inflicted damage on 2 areas of enemy personnel concentration, weaponry, and military equipment, 1 command post, and 1 ground control station for enemy UAVs.
It is worth reminding that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 410,700 military personnel.
