Fani Willis slammed with harassing calls after Trump lawyer puts contact info in court doc

ATLANTA, GA - MAY 3: Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade were slammed with harassing phone calls over the weekend after one of former President Donald Trump's attorneys put their contact information in a public court filing, according to a new report.

Willis and Wade, according to CNN's Zachary Cohen, were ultimately forced to change their numbers.

"[They] received an onslaught of harassing phone calls over the weekend after their personal contact information was cited in legal paperwork from Trump’s defense lawyer in GA case," Cohen wrote on X.

He added that they "both changed their phone numbers b/c of an 'explosion' of calls in recent days, one source told CNN. The wave of calls came after an unredacted version of the motion — including exhibits — was shared w/ counsel on both sides."

The attorney, Steven Sadow, says he made a mistake in sharing unredacted phone records with a reporter, and "when I realized the error, I immediately contacted him and told him explicitly not to disclose them to anyone else and not to publish the cell phone numbers or any other protected information," reports Cohen.

However, Cohen reports that "cell phone records 'with personal identifying information' still appeared on social media, per the DA's response" to the motion filed by Trump's team on Friday.

Willis, who is prosecuting the election racketeering case against Trump and over a dozen other people in Georgia, has currently been sidelined by an ethics investigation into an admitted romantic relationship with Wade.

The district attorney maintains that the relationship did not start until after the investigation began, and did not improperly influence spending decisions by the office. Attorneys representing Trump and his co-defendants are trying to use the scandal as a basis to remove Willis from the case.
