Reminiscing on her iconic look as Miranda Priestly, fans did not approve of her older-looking fashion choice. "WHY IS SHE ALWAYS SO BUTTONED UP LATELY," one fan commented.

"Criminal behavior: dress up Meryl Streep in a gown without cleavage," another user chimed in. "Meryl Streep looks like the perfect model for a 74-year-old lady," a fan tried to defend Meryl's age.

Even after gracing the cover of US Vogue as the oldest cover model at 62, Meryl believed her career was on the verge of conclusion many years prior.

"[When I was 40] I remember turning to my husband and saying, 'Well, what should we do? Because it's over,'" she shared. The actress continued, "Once women pass childbearing age, they could only be seen as grotesque on some level."

She has seen her fellow actors undergo plastic surgeries for a younger appearance. "It's not just women. You'd be amazed at how many men in this industry have gone down that road. I just don't get it," she said.

However, Meryl herself is not as worried about aging anymore. She remarked, "Life is precious, and when you've lost a lot of people, you realize each day is a gift." Meryl Streep advocates for embracing the passage of time and cherishing the wisdom that comes with age.
