Rep. Lauren Boebert's (R-CO) teenage son was arrested on nearly two dozen charges related to a crime spree in the Colorado district she still represents.
Police say 18-year-old Tyler Boebert was arrested Tuesday after a "recent string of vehicle trespass and property thefts" in Rifle, where the congresswoman lives and operated a gun-themed restaurant, reported Business Insider.
The lawmaker's son was booked into the Garfield County jail on four counts of criminal possession of a financial device, four counts of criminal possession of ID documents and a count of conspiracy to commit a felony.

He was also charged with four misdemeanor counts of ID theft, three misdemeanor counts of first-degree criminal trespass, three misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and three counts of the petty offense of theft of less than $300.

Boebert announced earlier this year she would move her campaign from the 3rd district, where she faced a tough rematch from Democrat Adam Frisch, to Colorado's 4th district, saying her family needed a "fresh start" after a "pretty difficult year."
The lawmaker's ex-husband Jayson Boebert was arrested twice in the last year and slapped with a restraining order, and Boebert herself faced widespread criticism for lewd and obnoxious behavior with another man at a Denver performance of the "Beetlejuice" musical.
Tyler Boebert called 911 in December 2022 to report that his father was "throwing him around the house," but later called back to say it had only been a verbal dispute, although he reported last month that his father had shoved him to the ground, put a hand over his mouth and armed himself.
The 36-year-old congresswoman announced in March 2023 that her son was expecting her grandchild with his teenage girlfriend.
