There were six crew members on board the helicopter, according to Reuters.

According to a source, the helicopter made an emergency landing in the ocean off the coast of western Norway on Wednesday, and rescuers pulled six people on board from the sea. The injured are currently in the hospital, and their condition is unknown.

The helicopter was a search and rescue aircraft that usually served the platforms of the company in the Oseberg oil and gas field in the North Sea.

"The helicopter was a Sikorsky S-92 model and was on a search and rescue training mission at the time of the accident," said a police spokesman.

"The area had been experiencing high winds at the time of the accident," said a rescue service representative.
