Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher predict the score when Liverpool face Nottingham Forest this weekend

The games don’t stop for Liverpool. After Wednesday night, the Reds will be back in action against Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon. It’s a game that Liverpool will need to win.

The Reds are in the Premier League title race which means every game is a must win for Jurgen Klopp’s side right now. Even though Forest will not make it easy. They are a team who are difficult to beat especially away from home.

Liverpool found that out last season, losing there thanks to a goal from Taiwo Awoniyi, who spent six years at Liverpool, although he never made an appearance for the club. Awoniyi will be a big threat again for Forest this weekend. But Liverpool must do everything to stop him and the rest of the Forest team.

This is now do or die stage in the Premier League. Klopp’s side cannot afford any more slip-ups.

Carragher and Neville predict the Liverpool score

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Stick to Football podcast, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher looked ahead to the weekend and predicted a Liverpool win against Forest.

“2-1 Liverpool,” Neville said, and Carragher agreed.

“Forest have got good attacking players so they will score and Nunez and Salah are back,” Carragher said.

It remains to be seen whether Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah will return to the side. Dominik Szoboszlai could also potentially feature, which would be a huge boost for Liverpool. If all three can play a role that could be the key for the Reds getting a result.

Forest will make things very difficult for Liverpool by dropping deep, and in order to break them down having someone like Szoboszlai could be the key. But Salah and Nunez are both very effective at breaking down the opposition as well.
