A woman in Arizona has been arrested after law enforcement officials said she was driving drunk with a young gchild in the vehicle when she ran over her girlfriend.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, Josarina Woody, 30, was reportedly backing out of the driveway of her Glendale home when her girlfriend fell, according to court documents obtained by KTVK.

As Woody turned to drive up the road, a neighbor who witnessed the incident from his front yard yelled at Woody to stop because the girlfriend was still lying in the road, police said.

Woody then ran over the girlfriend with her front tires, stopped the vehicle, and ran her over again with the back tires before driving away, according to authorities.

Court documents did not indicate the victim's condition following the incident.

When Woody later pulled into a parking lot, officers approached her car and found her in the driver’s seat with a 5-year-old child in the back seat, according to court records.

Officers conducted two breathalyzer tests on Woody, which showed her blood alcohol levels at 0.178 and 0.179, according to the records.

While speaking with police, Woody said she was just trying to leave the house. When investigators asked why she ran over the woman, Woody claimed she didn’t know anyone was in the road and she thought it was “the bump from the driveway.”

Woody was arrested and faces six charges, including extreme DUI and aggravated assault.
