James Lee was brought on Fox News for openly challenging a Georgia's mayor's immigration policy in the wake of nursing student Laken Riley's slaying, saying there is blood on hands.

Only "Lee" isn't his surname, but the man's middle name. His real name is reportedly James DePaola. And, according to Media Matters, he was charged back in 2016 when his 12-year-old daughter dialed the police because he got aggressive with his wife for overdoing the amount of cheese by one extra slice, rather than his preferred two, in his grilled cheese sandwich.

DePaola allegedly ripped the telephone cord out of the wall, preventing his wife from being able to call couldn’t call the police, and reportedly berated her, the Athens-Clarke County Police reported, according to WSB-TV.

He was charged with obstruction for making a 911 call.

It was found that the man had been served with a restraining order in the past, the station added.

But when DePaula appeared on Fox News' Jesse Watters Primetime on Feb. 28, he was listed as "James Lee."

Watters appeared to praise DePaola as a fresh voice in the new right-wing movement against “the sanctuary stuff” for challenging Athens-Clarke County Mayor Kelly Girtz.

“You don’t get the credit you deserve as a patriot and a real journalist,” DePaola reciprocated.

In an about-face, Fox News stated that DePaola didn't disclose his full name nor his criminal past.

"The guest identified himself as James Lee to Fox News and other news outlets following the press conference,” a spokesperson told The Daily Beast. “A search of James Lee from Athens did not turn up any connection or link to James DePaola.”
