Danny Rohl sends one-word message to Sheffield Wednesday fans after win against Rotherham United

Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl has given his one-word verdict after the win vs Rotherham United.

Sheffield Wednesday earned another crucial three points yesterday, beating rivals Rotherham United 1-0 at the New York Stadium.

The Owls were denied a first half goal from Akin Famewo after it was seemingly, wrongly ruled out for offside.

But Ike Ugbo netted his sixth goal in eight Championship games in the second half to keep Sheffield Wednesday well in the race for survival.

QPR beat Leicester City yesterday and Stoke City beat Middlesbrough to keep the Owls three points from safety.

Rohl is beloved among Sheffield Wednesday fans.

And rightly so; he’s given the Owls a definite chance of survival this season, with his side having now won three games in a row, with four wins from their last five games.

Although the teams around Sheffield Wednesday are also picking up points, there’s still reason to be very proud of what the Owls are achieving right now.

And fans will love the latest Instagram message from Rohl:

‘Togetherness’ at Sheffield Wednesday

From the very first minute, Rohl starts mending a broken relationship between Sheffield Wednesday fans and their club.

Xisco Munoz’s horror rein not only left the club rooted to the foot of the table and without a prayer in the fight for survival, but it also created a huge rift between club and fan.

The antics of owner Dejphon Chansiri certainly didn’t help, but Munoz’s lax demeanour and just poor tactical awareness gave fans very little hope.

Rohl though has bridged that void.

He’s got the team playing some really good football and most importantly winning games; after the first few games of the season, nobody would’ve thought that at some point this campaign, Sheffield Wednesday would win three in a row.

And Rohl has created a very strong bond with the fans, with the ‘togetherness’ that he posts online being all down to him.

Sheffield Wednesday return to Hillsborough this weekend for a game against Plymouth Argyle.

The Green Army currently sit in 16th place of the Championship table after a 2-0 defeat vs Ipswich Town today, with one win in their last six league outings.

They sit just two points above the drop zone and are one of the worst travelling sides in the division, having taken just 12 points on the road this season to leave them 22nd in the away form table.
