“They are resorting to consolidating their positions there, realizing that their attacks in this area are futile,” he said.

“The enemy is setting up positions, regrouping, and preparing assault groups.”

The Russians have decided to go on the defensive around Synkivka while redeploying troops to the Lyman sector in the area of Terny and Yampolivka, where active hostilities are currently taking place.

"The enemy is constantly trying to find a weak point, a gap in our defenses, and is trying to push through - so far without success".

Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled 12 enemy attacks in the area over the past day, killing and wounding 373 invaders and destroying 76 units of Russian equipment.

"The enemy has not been successful [near Synkivka] for a long time,” Yevlash said.

“We have seen this before, for example, near Novoyehorivka. This settlement was on the radar in the early fall of 2023. Having realized that they cannot develop an offensive, they are trying to redeploy their forces. They have chosen the next point - last week they attacked in the area of Terny and Yampolivka."

He added that, along with the redeployment of reserves to Terny, airstrikes with Ka-52 helicopters have intensified.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the main focus of Russian efforts is now on the Avdiivka, Kupyansk, and Lyman sectors.
