Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has opened up after his side's 3-1 derby day defeat to Manchester City on Sunday, with the Dutchman lamenting the decision not to give his side a free kick before a goal from Phil Foden.
The Red Devils went ahead through Marcus Rashford in the eighth minute, with the England international unleashing an unstoppable effort into the top corner.
Yet City were superior throughout and a brace from Foden, coupled with a strike from Erling Haaland, gave them all three points.
Ten Hag was unhappy during the game, with the Dutchman incensed by the decision not to give a foul on Rashford prior to Foden's leveller.
And the Dutchman has made it clear he feels there was enough contact on the 26-year-old to warrant a free kick.
"I looked back and asked Rashy [Rashford] if there was contact, maybe soft but there was contact," he told Match of the Day.
The 54-year-old added: "I think it was a good performance overall, we went 1-0 up and we had our moments after it to score the second one.
"We defended very well and there were two defining moments when we nearly made a breakthrough and conceded the first goal.
"Then you are disappointed, we have to accept it and still we had the opportunities to at least get one point, but the win was also possible.
"[We were] getting behind the defending line with the speed of Garnacho, already after a couple of minutes there was some good breakthrough and then quickly after it was a good goal from Rashford.
"We closed the middle very good and the box very good.
"We stuck to the plan and we had the moment of the reckless action of the goalkeeper of City and after that attack we conceded the goal."
United skipper Bruno Fernandes has also discussed the result.
And the midfielder has insisted the Red Devils performed well despite crashing to an 11th league defeat of the season.
"I think the commitment from the team was there," said the Portugal international.
"We had our chances. Sometimes we played a little too deep but you know City do that to all the teams, you have to defend your box and we did that really well in the first half.
"From a chance that could be ours it ended up 1-1.
"There's always something more you can do in the game, if it is City or someone else you can always do something better.
"City are a team that knows how to have the ball and pin teams back.

"We knew we had to defend our goal really well and I think we did, we should have had more spells with the ball than we did in the second half."
United are now eight points behind Aston Villa as they look to qualify for next season's Champions League.
But Fernandes is adamant they'll fight to qualify for Europe's top-tier club competition until the very end of the season.
"Every time you don't win a game it is a damage at this club," he said.
"We know what this club demands and we want to win the games we are involved in. We didn't get the three points today but there's still a long way to go.
"We know it is not everything in our hands because other teams have to lose points but we have to do our job."
Roy Keane, meanwhile, has admitted there are 'question marks' over United and Ten Hag after their latest setback.
"I don't want to be too hard on United because City were brilliant. They showed why they're champions," he told Sky Sports.
"What City do is they find out all your shortcomings. There's no hiding place. It's like a boxing ring. They wore them down.
"The stats show you how dominant Man City were. Haaland and De Bruyne weren't at their best but then Foden steps up.
"I think it's more credit to Man City than being too critical of Man Utd. Manchester United will have to take their medicine today. Huge question marks for this team and the manager."
