Liverpool in mix to sign player Jamie Carragher called the ‘most exciting player in Europe’

Liverpool are among the teams keen on signing Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, according to reports coming from Italy.

Kvaratskhelia has emerged as one of the most exciting talents in Europe in recent seasons and has a number of clubs keen on signing him if Napoli were to sell.

The Italian side value Kvaratskhelia at around the £100m mark and along with Victor Osimhen, they stand to make huge money if they do sell.

And according to Italian journalist Ciro Venerato, as relayed by Area Napoli Liverpool and Chelsea are in the mix to sign the Georgian star if he is to move on.

“Kvara’s renewal, at the moment, is still on the high seas: the player wants a raise that is slow in coming, but he will not leave Napoli, with De Laurentiis offering him a mega salary to postpone his sale to 2025. A release clause could also be inserted for him, as was the case with Osimhen. The number 77 is followed by big clubs, such as Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool and PSG,” Venerato is quoted as saying.

The 23-year-old has scored nine goals this season to follow up on the impressive 12 he hit in Serie A last term.

Kvaratskhelia would be amazing at Liverpool

The Reds are going to need a replacement for Mo Salah eventually and the Napoli star very much ticks plenty of boxes.

Jamie Carragher lauded him as the most exciting player in Europe after seeing him in Champions League action and with good reason.

Of course, Kvaratskhelia is going to cost massive money if any club does go out and sign him. Whether or not Liverpool will back a new manager with £100m for him, remains to be seen.

However, whoever does get Kvaratskhelia over the line is getting quite the player. He’s proven himself time and again in Italy and now the next step is either La Liga or the Premier League.

Kvaratskhelia, then, would be a player Liverpool fans could get excited about if Salah is to go.
