20-year-old was incredible for Liverpool two years ago, now Jurgen Klopp could finally give him what he wants

It was a cold windy evening in Kirkby. The kind of evening where you could see your wispy breath coiling in the air as you exhaled. There were few people in attendance to watch Liverpool’s FA Youth Cup encounter with Burnley.

But I was there watching on from the stands. Liverpool’s U18 team lined-up with the likes of Stefan Bajcetic, Bobby Clark and Luke Chambers. All of them were brilliant on the night as the Reds ran out the 4-1 winners.

I was impressed by Clark’s ability to stand-up to Burnley’s physical challenge. Chambers was excellent on the ball. Meanwhile, Bajcetic was playing in midfield for one of the first times and put in an excellent performance.

As good as they were though. There was another player who had an incredible performance on the night. Yet, he’s still yet to make his debut for the club. Although all of that could be about to change.

Mateusz Musialowski could make his debut tonight

That player in question was Mateusz Musialowski. He scored a brace in that game, and completely dominated the match. Since then, he hasn’t quite kicked on as much as people would have expected though.

While Clark, Bajcetic and Chambers have gone onto play for Liverpool’s first team, Musialowski is still yet to make his debut. Even though he has been in good form at academy level this season.

On his day he is capable of beating any of his opponents one vs one. Musialowski is definitely ready for a bigger challenge on the horizon. And having been included in Liverpool’s squad to face Sparta Prague tonight the young 20-year-old could finally be about to get what he wants.

There is a good chance the Polish attacker, could make his first team bow in the game tonight.
