Mikel Arteta calls up 'stunning' 18-year-old gem to Arsenal training pre-Brentford; Ian Wright said he's 'fantastic'

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been putting his players through their paces ahead of Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Brentford.

The Gunners are in great form at present, having won their last seven games in the league and scoring plenty along the way.

Arsenal have also won eight of their last ten games at the Emirates Stadium, scoring 27 goals in the process.

Brentford, meanwhile, have won only two of their last ten on the road and starting to look over their shoulders.

Just six points separate the Bees from the Premier League’s bottom three at present.

On Thursday, the Arsenal media team published photos from their latest training session at London Colney.

Michal Rosiak, one of the most talented players in the Hale End setup, was spotted in the session, giving chase to Gabriel Jesus.

Who is Arsenal academy talent Michal Rosiak?

Michal Rosiak is an 18-year-old midfielder who can also play at right-back, and has been making waves at Under-18 and Under-21 level this term.

The Poland Under-19 international moved from his home country to England back in 2016, when he was just 10 years old.

Rosiak used to play for a local team in his hometown called Glaz Tychowo.

In England, he joined Arsenal after being scouted at a football tournament with his school.

This season, Rosiak has six goals and four assists from 13 U18 Premier League outings, showing he’s effectively above that level.

He has also made seven Premier League 2 (U21) appearances this term, and has featured in the EFL Trophy, UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup too.

“I would say my versatility is a strong part of my game,” Rosiak told the Arsenal website in 2022.

“I am comfortable playing anywhere across the backline, but I would say that my preferred position is central midfield.

“I’m hard working, I’ll run around a lot, and I just like to be controlling things in the middle of the park for us and build up the momentum of the team.”

Rosiak has a penchant for ‘stunning‘ free kicks and Ian Wright deemed him a “fantastic” player earlier this season.
