Ukraine to try former judge for treason

While his name was not disclosed in the announcement, the man is accused of collecting data on his fellow judges and Ukrainian military service members before passing it to Russian intelligence services.

After an investigation, SBI agents have charged the former judge with cooperating with Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB). The accused accessed private judicial chat rooms across various messaging platforms, gathering personal details of Ukrainian judges, including photographs, phone numbers, email addresses, and other identifying data

He allegedly focused on judges with pro-Ukrainian stances and collected information about Ukrainian soldiers who were taken prisoners by Russian forces during the war. These details were then used by Russian intelligence services during POW interrogations.

He will be tried for state treason and collaborating with the enemy, facing up to 15 years in prison.
