Kyle Walker hails Gareth Bale

Despite spending time away on loan during the early time of his career in north London, Walker was still able to tally up an impressive 227 appearances.

The attacking full-back returned four goals and 21 assists, which is only just shy of what he has provided this incredible City side.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand on the Five YouTube channel, Walker recalled his time at White Hart Lane and playing with who he considers the best player he’s lined up alongside, Bale.

Walker has had the privilege of playing alongside the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, however, he hailed Bale as something else, he said: “Gaz just went through, you know, everything hit in that season it just went in the back of the net. It was incredible like I’ve seen goalscorers obviously H [Harry Kane] Erling [Haaland] now and you think that everything that he hit, no matter where it came from, it went in the back of the net.”

“Tottenham wasn’t going for the title, but he kept us up there and even that goal against West Ham with AVB was just like, I think he’s hit it out of anger, like the [Wayne] Rooney one. You know, the one against Newcastle, he’s hit it out of anger. And it’s started started so high and dipped at the last minute. It was just I shouldn’t even go in, but I think it was just destiny for him to obviously go and do what he’s done.”
