Netflix show location comes complete with roaring furnaces and a 'jacked' host

A fresh batch of Netflix show episodes are heating up so much that glass is turning to molten. As 10 artists gather together for a tough competition series this March, viewers at home are curious to know more about where all the creativity takes place. The Blown Away host may have switched up this season, but the hot shop location remains the same.

Netflix‘s hit series renewed for another year after first launching in 2019. Five years later and Blown Away season 4 is officially here. The 10 cast members were set their first challenge in episode 1 which kicked off on March 8. The contestants have to do all they can to impress glass artist and art professor, Katherine Gray, in a bid to win a life-changing sum of money as well as an artist’s residency at The Corning Museum of Glass, and the title of ‘Best in Glass’.

Blown Away hot shop location

Blown Away season 4 is set to be bigger and better than ever before.

The Netflix show is filmed in North America’s largest hot shop based in Ontario, Canada.

Season 4 was “filmed last May and June in Hamilton, Ontario,” per Trib Live.

The hot shop is the perfect setting for the Netflix competition to go down.

According to Tudum, the show is filmed “…inside a warehouse that’s been converted into the Blown Away Hot Shop.”

Netflix show’s prize

The Blown Away season 4 challenges are set to push the contestants’ creativity to the brink.

The 10 cast members have to have their techniques totally perfected if they’re to impress Katherine.

The winner will receive a prize package worth $100,000 and a residency at the Corning Museum of Glass.

Speaking of the opportunity, Arthur Wilson explains on the show how the prize really would “change his life.” He added how it would mean he could move his glass-blowing set up from the garden to indoors with the money.

Hunter March steps in as host

When Blown Away first arrived on Netflix, the show was hosted by Nick Uhas.

Katherine Gray has been judging the show since the very beginning, but she’s joined by a new face in season 4.

Nick remained on the show for seasons 1-3 before Bobby Berk stepped in as host for a Christmas spin-off series.

Season 4 welcomes TV presenter and comedian Hunter March. Upon his arrival in the hot shop, Hunter tells the contestants to “buckle up” for a tough competition.

Hunter is no stranger to Netflix as he’s also the host of baking contest Sugar Rush.

Fans took to the comments section of his Instagram post to say how “good looking” the host appears. One commented how this year’s show is already the “best season.”

Another said: “I’d like to start a petition for Hunter to host every show ever.”
