15 movies featuring Stranger Things cast members you simply have to see

It’s been almost two years since Stranger Things was last on our screens for season 4 and since then, many of its cast have appeared in a plethora of other movies and TV shows to keep themselves busy.

Most recently, Millie Bobby Brown starred in the Netflix fantasy movie Damsel but if you’ve watched that and want to see what the rest of the Stranger Things cast has been up to, here are 15 movies you need to check out.

1. Millie Bobby Brown | Enola Holmes

Watched Damsel and want to check out another film featuring Millie Bobby Brown? Look no further than 2020’s Enola Holmes – or indeed its 2022 sequel.

Brown plays the titular character, the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), as she’s dragged into a dangerous conspiracy.

2. Finn Wolfhard | Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Mike Wheeler actor Finn Wolfhard features in 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife as Trevor Spengler, the grandson of original Ghostbuster Egon Spengler.

A reboot of the beloved franchise, Afterlife follows a single mother and her two children as they arrive in a small town with a mysterious connection to the supernatural.

3. Gaten Matarazzo | My Father’s Dragon

Released in 2022, My Father’s Dragon is an animated movie from multiple Oscar-nominated studio Cartoon Saloon that is based on the beloved book of the same name.

The movie follows a young boy named Elmer who runs away from his mother in search of a young dragon voiced by Gaten Matarazzo, best known among Stranger Things fans as Dustin.

4. Noah Schapp | Hubie Halloween

As well as playing Will Byers in Stranger Things, Noah Schapp has also featured in the Adam Sandler comedy, Hubie Halloween, and plays the character Tommy.

The movie follows Sandler’s Hubie and his attempts to save his town when people suddenly start to disappear.

5. Caleb McLaughlin | The Book of Clarence

Released earlier this year, The Book of Clarence is a biblical comedy-drama that follows the streetwise but struggling Clarence as he looks to take inspiration from the growing influence of Jesus Christ and improve his own life.

Caleb McLaughlin plays Dirty Zeke, a close friend of Clarence.

6. Priah Ferguson | The Curse of Bridge Hollow

Up next in our list of movies featuring the Stranger Things cast is Priah Ferguson who appeared in the 2022 spooky comedy The Curse of Bridge Hollow as Sydney Gordon.

When an ancient and mischievous spirit wreaks havoc across her town, Sydney and her father (Marlon Wayans) must team up to save the day.

7. Sadie Sink | Fear Street Part 2

While fellow Stranger Things actress Maya Hawke may appear briefly in the first installment of the Fear Street trilogy, Sadie Sink has a vital role in both Parts 2 and 3.

Part 2 of the unique slasher series takes place in 1978 as the kids of Shadyside embark on a summer of fun at Camp Nightwing – that is until one camper is possessed with the urge to kill.

8. Natalia Dyer | Things Heard & Seen

Released in 2021, Things Heard & Seen is a mind-bending horror that follows a young Manhattan couple, Catherine and George, who move to a historic town in the Hudson Valley.

Natalia Dyer takes on the role of Willis, a local girl who attracts the attention of George, throwing a wrench in the works of his and Catherine’s marriage.

9. Charlie Heaton | No Future

Jonathan Byers actor Charlie Heaton appeared alongside Catherine Keener and Rosa Salazar in the 2021 drama, No Future.

Heaton takes on the role of Will, a recovering drug addict whose best friend, Chris, died after visiting him. Struggling to keep his life together, Will begins an affair with Chris’s mother, Claire.

10. Joe Keery | Free Guy

Where to watch: Disney+

Free Guy didn’t have the easiest of routes to our screens after its release date was delayed by more than a year thanks to Covid-19.

The movie follows Ryan Reynolds’ Guy, a bank worker living in a video game world who gains sentience. Steve Harrington actor Joe Keery plays Keys, a developer of the game at the heart of the film.

11. Maya Hawke | Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

Best known among Stranger Things fans as Robin Buckley, Maya Hawke plays Flowerchild, a member of Charles Manson’s cult in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Set in a semi-fictional version of 1969, the movie follows actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and stuntman Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) and their exploits in the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.

12. Joseph Quinn | Overlord

Joseph Quinn captured our hearts as Eddie Munson in season 4 and while he may have upcoming roles in A Quiet Place: Day One, Gladiator 2 and The Fantastic Four, all of those movies are a while away yet.

The actor’s first film role came in 2018’s Overlord, a horror movie that presents an alternate history of D-Day, one where the Nazis have been conducting terrifying experiments.

13. Jamie Campbell Bower | Twilight: New Moon

While Stranger Things fans may recognize Jamie Campell Bower best as the nightmarish Vecna, his most prominent film role has come as the character Caius in the Twilight Saga.

Bower made his first appearance in 2009’s New Moon before returning In Parts 1 and 2 of Breaking Dawn.

14. Winona Ryder | Beetlejuice

Moving on to the adults of the Stranger Things cast, Winona Ryder is an actress who has been on our screens since the late 1980s.

Long before playing Joyce Byers, Ryder’s big break came in 1988’s Beetlejuice where she played Lydia Deetz, a role she will be reprising later this year in a sequel more than 30 years in the making.

15. David Harbour | Violent Night

And finally, we end our list of movies featuring the Stranger Things cast with David Harbour, best known by fans as Hopper.

In 2022, Harbour ditched his police uniform for the red hat and coat of Santa Claus in the action-packed comedy Violent Night, where being on Santa’s naughty list means a gruesome death awaits.
