Donald Trump issued a response to the Oscars Sunday night, and he claimed the awards are not given to those who deserve them.

Trump has a history of lashing out at awards ceremonies. This time his first target was Jimmy Kimmel, who was recently sued by booted and indicted congressman George Santos.

For his response, Trump took to his own social media site, Truth Social.

"Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars. His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be," Trump wrote.

He then threw in an attack against ABC News host George Stephanopoulos, who earlier in the day had a confrontational interview with Republican lawmaker and Trump ally Nancy Mace.

"Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC 'talent,' George Slopanopoulos," Trump said. "He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous."

Trump then went on to attack the Oscars themselves.

"Also a really bad politically correct show tonight, and for years - Disjointed, boring, and very unfair," Trump said Sunday. "Why don’t they just give the Oscars to those that deserve them. Maybe that way their audience and TV ratings will come back from the depths. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!"
