Laken Riley’s mother ripped into President Joe Biden for botching her daughter’s name on Thursday night as he delivered his highly divisive State of the Union speech.
According to the Daily Mail, Riley’s mother, Allyson Phillips, replied to a Facebook comment on Friday by slamming Biden for invoking her slain daughter’s name and then flubbing it — even after he smugly asserted that he knew Riley’s name.
“Biden does not even KNOW my child’s name – it’s pathetic,” Phillips wrote in her response.

“If you are going to say her name (even when forced to do so) at least say the right name!”
Biden stepped onto this political garden rake involving the 22-year-old nursing student who was murdered last month at the University of Georgia after he encountered Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene as he entered Congress to deliver the SOTU.
As Biden paused from shaking hands with Democratic lawmakers, Greene handed him a pin. The pin said, “Say her name … Laken Riley.”
In her brief exchange with Biden, Greene encouraged him to say Riley’s name.
In that moment, Biden confidently asserted, “I know how to say the name.”
And then he didn’t.
As the Tampa Free Press reported last week, Biden, during the speech, held up the pin and then clearly stated, “Lincoln, Lincoln Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s right. But how many thousands of people are being killed by illegals?”
Biden not only screwed up her name but instead referenced the name of the head football coach at USC for the past two seasons and who spent the five seasons before that as head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners.

Biden then weirdly looked up into the House balcony and added, “To her parents, I say my heart goes out to you, having lost children myself. I understand.”
Which was odd for two reasons.
First, Riley’s parents had refused Georgia Republican Rep. Doug Collins’ invitation to attend the speech.
Secondly, he once again invoked his own children who have passed away but who were not murdered as Laken Riley was.
Police arrested Jose Antonio Ibarra as the only suspect in her death. Ibarra is an illegal immigrant from Venezuela who entered the country in September 2022 and was allowed to stay in America despite multiple encounters with law enforcement.
Biden subsequently apologized, but not for flubbing Riley’s name.
Instead, he apologized to leftists for using the word “illegal” in his speech when referring to Ibarra.
