Luis Diaz sends message to Liverpool fans after Manchester City draw at Anfield

Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has sent a message to the fans after his side failed to win against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Anfield in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw with Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

John Stones put the Citizens in the lead in the first half. Alexis Mac Allister restored parity for the Reds from the penalty spot in the opening minutes of the second period.

Liverpool dominated proceedings in the second half and were controversially denied a penalty in injury time.

Luis Diaz played in the game. The Colombia international winger did not have the best of times. He had two good chances that I think he should have taken.

As you can see below, Diaz has sent a message to Liverpool fans after the game against City.

Liverpool are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 64 points from 28 matches, level on points with leaders Arsenal.

Defending champions Manchester City are third with 63 points from 28 games.

Diaz has made 22 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season.

The 27-year-old Colombia international winger has scored six goals and given three assists in those games.

My View: Liverpool should be pleased with a point vs Manchester City

In my opinion, Liverpool should be pleased with the draw with Manchester City.

Of course, a win would have been a fantastic result, but a point against arguably the best and strongest team in England is not a bad result at all.

Liverpool have what it takes to win the Premier League title this season. I think that the Reds will take the race down to the wire.
