'Big money move': Saudi Arabia deal makers want to sign £22m Tottenham player - journalist

Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son is of interest to clubs in Saudi Arabia, and they could make a move to sign him this summer.

The South Korean is one of the best attackers in the Premier League. He is arguably Tottenham‘s most important player, and we’re sure Ange Postecoglou would be desperate to keep hold of him beyond the end of this season.

Saudi Arabia deal makers want to sign Heung-min Son from Tottenham

Tottenham signing Heung-min Son for £22 million (Guardian) is one of their best transfer deals ever.

Yes, he had a fairly difficult debut campaign at White Hart Lane, but since then, Son has been absolutely incredible for the North Londoners.

This season, in particular, has raised the Korean’s stock. The way he has taken on the responsibility of being the captain and how seamlessly he has replaced Harry Kane up front is nothing short of incredible.

Son will enter the final year of his contract in the summer, and deal makers in Saudi Arabia are said to be keeping a close eye on the situation.

Ben Jacobs has suggested that Saudi clubs would love to sign Son this summer, but they are also prepared to wait until 2025, when his contract expires.

The journalist said: “We’ve known for a year that Saudi deal makers still hope they can change Son’s mind and they can get him to the Saudi Pro League. We heard a lot of reports that that would happen in 2023. That’s not and has never been my understanding.

“I’ve always been told that Son is only and has always only been a Saudi target for 2024 or potentially 2025. So Son will have a decision to make, because he won’t be short of options, and the Saudi offer will be lucrative naturally, as to whether he wants to stick it out at Spurs, maybe even end his career at Tottenham, or take a big money move.”

Daniel Levy needs to extend Son’s Tottenham contract

Tottenham allowed Harry Kane to enter the final year of his contract last year, and that made it easy for him to leave the club.

The last thing Spurs fans would want to see at the end of this season is for the same thing to happen with Heung-min Son, who is a ‘world-class‘ player.

Daniel Levy needs to speed things up and offer a new contract to Son. He has been incredible for Spurs this season, and he will be key going forward as well.

Son has already done enough to be a hero at Tottenham, but if he stays, signs a new deal and wins them a trophy or two, he will become a guaranteed legend.
