‘In Premier League history’: Dion Dublin says Arsenal have one of the weirdest players ever

Kai Havertz is enjoying his best run of form since arriving in English football, but he’s still a player who is difficult to understand.

Indeed, even when he’s scoring goals and making a massive impact, Havertz’s overall role remains really unclear in this Arsenal team.

Is he a striker? Is he a winger? Is he a number 10? These are all genuine questions you can ask about Havertz, and they’re very difficult to answer.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Dion Dublin has been discussing Havertz’s role at Arsenal, and he says that the German is genuinely one of the weirdest players in Premier League history, claiming that he simply can’t figure him out.

Dion Dublin can’t understand Kai Havertz

The pundit spoke about the Arsenal man.

“I think in Premier League history since 1992, we don’t know where he plays or what he does. He just comes up with odd moments that mean a lot. He comes up with a good goal at the end. I’m not sure where he plays or what he does,” Dublin said.

Unique

We have to agree with Dublin here.

Indeed, Havertz is one of the most unique players we’ve ever seen in the Premier League, and we can’t get our heads around what he’s meant to be or what he’s meant to do.

Yes, he’s been playing well recently, but we still can’t quite put our finger on what he’s meant to be doing on the pitch.

Havertz is a real enigma, and sometimes it even feels like the player himself doesn’t know what he’s meant to be doing or what he’s actually good at.

As long as he’s scoring goals, it doesn’t really matter, but we can’t remember ever seeing another player as complex as Havertz.
