After Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, and Michael Whatley — an ally of the ex-president — were voted to lead the Republican National Committee last week in Ronna McDaniel's place, Politico reported Monday that "mass firings" were underway at the committee, which a GOP operative called an "absolute bloodbath."

On Tuesday, former Trump lawyer Christina Bobb was hired as the RNC's Senior Counsel for Election Integrity, according to Mediaite. She said in a statement, "I’m honored to join the RNC and thrilled the new leadership is focused on election integrity. I look forward to working to secure our elections and restore confidence in the process.”

According to Media Matters for America, Bobb "was previously an anchor for the far-right One America News Network. While at OAN, Bobb was a prolific spreader offalse claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, and she financially supported the sham 'audit' of ballots cast in 2020 in Maricopa County, Arizona."

The Guardian reporter Hugo Lowell reported Monday, "Donald Trump's new leadership team at the Republican National Committee started the process of ousting scores of staffers on Monday night, clearing out its ranks as they prepare to bring the Committee under the wing of the Trump 2024 presidential campaign, sources familiar with the matter said."

Ex-US Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) wrote via X (formerly Twitter) "that the new leadership at the RNC would tank the party's hopes of electoral success in November."

Mediate notes Bobb "also played a role in Trump’s government documents case. In June 2022, Bobb signed a letter to the Department of Justice stating that to her knowledge there were no government documents at Mar-a-Lago. Two months later, the FBI executed a search warrant at the estate and found a trove of government material. Trump has been charged with willfully retaining classified documents and obstructing their retrieval. He has pleaded not guilt to all counts."

Furthermore, during an interview with the conservative Real America's Voice network in January, Bobb suggested Trump "should be allowed on the 2024 Republican primary ballot even if he incited an insurrection."

She said, "The president is elected by the entire nation and it should be the entire nation who determines who they want for president, whether they are guilty of insurrection or not."
