In Ukraine, 79 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. Russians are attacking in three directions in the Donetsk region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, Russians launched 2 missile and 64 air strikes, and fired 93 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and settlements. Unfortunately, the Russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population.
At night, Russian occupants attacked Ukraine once again using 36 Shahed UAVs. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed 22 of these attack UAVs.
Over the past 24 hours, the towns of Vilne, Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka, and Oleksandrivka in the Sumy region; Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region; Nadiia, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region were hit by air strikes; Predtechyne, Chasiv Yar, New York, Druzhba, Oleksandropil, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Novoselivka Persha, Novooleksandrivka, Maksymilianivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodiane, Maksymivka, Neskuchne, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region; Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
About 150 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Situation at frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, Russians maintain a military presence in the border areas, conduct active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas and increase the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, our troops repelled four enemy attacks near Tabaivka, Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka, Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 Russian attacks near the towns of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Terny, Yampolivka, and Verkhnekamianske, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three Russian attacks in the areas east of Chasiv Yar, Bohdanivka, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 Russian attacks near the towns of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian troops continue to hold back Russians in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region, where Russians tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 29 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks on our positions near Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, west of Verbove, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their positions. Over the past day, there were 2 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
Russia's losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 7 areas where Russia's personnel were concentrated. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces also destroyed one missile.
