‘My guess’: Alan Myers predicts whether 777 Partners will actually become Everton’s new owners

Farhad Moshiri and 777 Partners struck a deal for Everton back in September.

Fast forward six months, and we still have no conclusion on that deal, which continues to drag on in the background of all the other turmoil Sean Dyche has to deal with.

The 52-year-old likely knew he was inheriting a mess when he joined the Toffees, but few could have predicted just how tumultuous things were set to become at Goodison Park.

And throughout that process has been Alan Myers, seeking to keep supporters in the loop as always.

What Alan Myers said about 777 Partners

Whether it be detailing a transfer target for the Toffees or offering his own personal view on the club, the journalist is a revered figure amongst Evertonians.

After all, whilst he boasts insider knowledge that makes him such a well-followed and respected individual, it is his demeanour, and clear love for the club, that has won him such favour within the fanbase.

Now, taking to X, the Sky Sports reporter would offer his opinion on the matter which is drawing huge debate on Merseyside.

The length with which this saga has dragged on is a huge detractor for many fans, whilst it also has others just wishing it would be ratified to allow them to move on.

Well, Myers’ notion seems to be one which will please the latter, as he notes: ‘My guess would be they do [get the chance to take over], I’ve no idea how it will go tbh, all I know is the uncertainty needs to end and a new direction is vital whoever that is with’.

Everton desperately need a new owner

Moshiri’s failures as owner of Everton are innumerable, sprawling across his entire eight-year tenure, and cementing his name in history for all the wrong reasons.

He has set the club back decades with his free-spending conduct, so desperate to progress but also so desperately uninformed. All of their current issues, the bulk of which have come home to roost this campaign, are born of his inability to trust the right people with his riches.

So, they need new owners. Badly.

However, not so badly that they should sacrifice all their standards, as it was their initial desperation which first forced the club into the hands of such an ill-prepared billionaire such as Moshiri.

Fans should not settle for 777 Partners merely because they are the only option seemingly out there, as there are almost definitely other suitors seeking to step up should the current deal fall through.

And with the Miami-based firm continuing to be pushed back in their pursuit of Everton, there is every chance that opportunity could soon open up, despite what Myers predicts.
