The latest instalment of Extraordinary didn’t disappoint fans, delivering plenty of crazy adventures and rude humour. The second season found room for a musical, a journey into the subconscious, family dramas, and even a possession.
Emma Moran, the series creator, once again took viewers on a visit to the twenty-somethings trying to get their lives under control. As if adulthood wasn’t complicated enough, Carrie, Kash and Jizzlord had to additionally deal with their superpowers, which became the source of unforeseen accidents.
Jen, on the other hand, continued her journey in search of her powers. As usual, everything turned out differently than she could have imagined.
But what awaits the gang in season 3? We’ve rounded up everything we know about the future of Extraordinary.
Extraordinary season 3 potential release date
For now, Disney hasn’t renewed the series for another season.
This may come as a surprise for two reasons. Firstly, season 2 of Extraordinary was announced even before the release of season 1. Moreover, season 2 ended with a cliffhanger, which suggests that the creators were very confident in creating the next instalment.
As no renewal has been confirmed, we can’t predict when the next season will be released.

Extraordinary season 3 plot

In season 2, Jen finally joined the Power Discovery Program and tried to uncover why she doesn’t have superpowers. Together with psychic counsellor George, she tore through her messed-up, twisted subconscious, confronting old traumas. Although the therapy seemed to be working, Jen had to stop it when it came to light that she was involved in an affair with her therapist.
But that wasn’t the only romantic issue for Jen. After it came out that Jizzlord had a family, Jen got into an unhealthy rivalry with his wife, Nora, a seemingly perfect influencer. She managed to win this clash – mainly because Nora’s lies were revealed.
Kash and Carrie also faced their own problems. After the breakup, they both tried to arrange their lives anew, but it seemed they still felt something for each other. Eventually, Kash started dating Clark, a colleague from work. Carrie, on the other hand, decided to take care of herself and work on her independence. The ex-couple, however, chooses to stay good friends.

The season ended with an unexpected event. While throwing rubbish into the void at the landfill, Kash accidentally pushed Jen into a abyss. The girl found herself in a mysterious world on the other side.
The most crucial part of season 3 will be getting Jen out of the place she landed in. This probably won’t be easy since Kash couldn’t turn back time to the moment before the accident. Jen may have to find a way to open a portal on her side.
