Report: £50m player leaving Arsenal is 'almost a guarantee' now, two PL clubs want to sign him

Aaron Ramsdale has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer.

The England international is loved by everyone at the club, but he has fallen down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta. His future is now up in the air, and he could be gone when the summer transfer window opens.

Aaron Ramsdale leaving Arsenal is ‘almost a guarantee’

Aaron Ramsdale has been at Arsenal since the summer of 2021.

The England goalkeeper was heavily questioned when he was first signed, but after he replaced Bernd Leno at the Emirates, he became a fan favourite.

Ramsdale was one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League right up until September, but he then lost his place in the side to David Raya.

The Spaniard is a hero now to Arsenal fans after his performance in the Champions League this week, and GiveMeSport claim that Ramsdale leaving the Gunners is ‘almost a guarantee’ now.

Raya is the undisputed number one, nothing is going to change that. His move will be made permanent in the summer, which means Ramsdale will either have to settle for a place on the bench or leave.

The report claims he is very likely to depart, and Newcastle United are interested in his services. Chelsea too are weighing up a move to sign Ramsdale before the start of next season.

Ramsdale should leave Arsenal

Aaron Ramsdale is a terrific goalkeeper, there’s no debate there.

The Englishman has proven his class in the Premier League and was arguably the best goalkeeper in the country last season. He has the quality to be the number one at most clubs in Europe.

At Arsenal, however, the only way Ramsdale will get back into the side is if Raya gets injured or suspended. There’s just no other way. The Englishman will barely get any game time if stays.

The best option for Ramsdale would be to leave Arsenal this summer. The Gunners could make a good profit too, with Football Transfers suggesting they have slapped a £50 million price tag on him.

It will be interesting to see what will happen with Ramsdale this summer.
