King’s Lynn Town look to extend unbeaten run against Rushall Olympic

King’s Lynn Town are looking to extend their unbeaten run to eight games when they entertain fellow strugglers Rushall Olympic on Saturday.

Lynn’s unbeaten run has seen them climb out of the National League North relegation zone but with nine games remaining they are just two points clear of the Walsall side, who sit in 21st and occupy the final relegation place.

On Tuesday the Linnets make the trip to Hertfordshire to take on bottom side Bishop’s Stortford after their games this Tuesday was called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

Adam Lakeland enjoys a recent victory

Stortford are a massive 26 points from safety and certainties for relegation back to the third tier of non-league football.

Manager Adam Lakeland will want his team to get as many points as possible from these two games, knowing that champions-elect Tamworth visit The Walks the following Saturday, March 23.

In the Eastern Counties League Premier Division, sixth place Downham Town will be looking to climb into the play-off places when they travel to third place Thetford Town on Saturday for a Norfolk derby fixture.

Downham, whose game at Wroxham in the Norfolk Senior Cup was called off on Tuesday, then travel to eighth place Lakenheath in the League Cup next Tuesday.

Fakenham have two tough home games coming up, with runaway Mildenhall Town the visitors on Saturday before fourth place Mulbarton Wanderers are the opposition on Tuesday evening.

Heacham, down in 15th, are at Mulbarton on Saturday and then travel to play mid-table outfit Hadleigh United on Tuesday evening.

In Eastern Counties First Division North, Swaffham Town are now ten points clear of the drop zone after taking four points from their last two games and travel to title contenders Framlingham Town on Saturday before hosting 14th place side Haverhill Rovers on Tuesday.
