‘I don’t see how it passed Harry’: Meghan Markle questioned over ‘bizarre timing’ of surprise announcement

Meghan Markle is under fire for her “bizarre” decision to launch a new lifestyle brand on the same night as the Diana Award.

Speaking on GB News, royal commentator Pandora Forsyth said the announcement would have been in the pipeline for months.

But this will have raised “amber flags” in the Montecito household with Harry wary of the announcement coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the Diana Legacy Award, according to Forsyth.

She told Stephen Dixon and Anne Diamond: “I thought as soon as it happened, surely this would be an event in both of their calendars.

“I would have thought the Diana Award and the Diana Legacy Award would be something that is crossed over. I’m really surprised.

“Harry was involved in this for many years. It was only a few years ago he was up on stage with William. How times have changed.”

Asked by Anne Diamond whether the timing was “deliberate”, Forsyth said “amber flags” would have been raised.

“A big project like this would have had a date in the diary for many months”, she said.

“I do not see how in the Sussex world, how an amber flag wouldn’t have come up.

“I don’t see how it would have passed Harry too. I’m quite shocked.

“This is Diana’s legacy so I am really surprised.”

Forsyth went onto explain what sort of work Meghan will be getting up to with her new side hustle which saw the launch of an Instagram account last night.

“We knew she was going to launch a lifestyle brand”, she said on GB News.

“You can buy homeware items and cookery items if you so wish.

“This will tie into Netflix as well where we will probably see Meghan cooking, if that takes your interest.”

Harry made a video appearance at the awards, but his showing happened once William had already left the building.
