If you want to see the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and cherry blossoms, go to Arakurayama Sengen Park.
Approximately 650 cherry trees are planted in the park, and the park is crowded with tourists from both Japan and abroad during the cherry blossom season. It is a spectacular spot where you can see Mt. Fuji, the five-storied pagoda, and cherry blossoms at the same time, and the Sakura Festival is also held every year from the end of March to the beginning of April.

Recommended spots to visit Mt. Fuji Shimomiya Omuro Sengen Shrine & Shimoyoshida Honcho Street
A historic shrine located on Honcho Street in the Shimoyoshida district of Fujiyoshida. The Yabusame Festival, which is held every September, is a very rare Shinto ritual in which, unlike Yabusame, where you hit a target on horseback, you can predict good or bad luck by looking at the shape of the horse's hoof prints. It is located along Shimoyoshida Honchoi-dori, a popular Mt. Fuji viewing spot on social media, so be sure to check it out.
Mt.Fuji Shimomiya Omuro Sengen Shrine

Approximately 1km of 200 cherry trees are in full bloom from late March to early April every year. Additionally, the Fuji/ Lake Kawaguchiko Sakura Festival is held around this time every year.
During the festival period, food stalls and craft markets are set up, making the area even more crowded. The cherry blossoms are also lit up at night, giving you a fantastic view.

Fuji Kawaguchiko Sakura Festival
Recommended spot to visit “Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba”
"Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba" opened in 2006 to restore the original scenery of a beautiful thatched village that was lost in a typhoon in 1966. In the 20 thatched-roofed houses, you can experience traditional Japanese crafts such as pottery, painting, and incense, as well as enjoy views of Japan's original landscape.
[Mid-Apr. to Late Apr.] If you want to see azaleas and Mt. Fuji, go to "Roadside Station Narusawa"
Approximately 2,000 and 10,000 Rhododendrons azaleas grow naturally on the nature trail inside the roadside station Narusawa, and the best time to see them is from late April to early May every year. Please enjoy the collaboration of Mt. Fuji and the deep pink azaleas blooming in the red pine forest.

Recommended spots to visit together : Fuji Chobo no Yu Yurari Onsen
“Fuji Chobo no Yu Yurari Onsen” is a day-trip hot spring facility located 1 minute walk from the roadside station Narusawa.
There are a total of 16 types of baths, including an open-air bath with an outstanding view of Mt. Fuji, carbonated springs, and cave baths.
Recommended is the "Gueds Bath,'' which will be available for reservation from April 8, 2024. This room has a spacious 20 tatami Japanese-style room and an indoor bath with a view of Mt. Fuji right in front of you.

[Late Jun. to Mid-Jul.] For hydrangeas, go to Yagisaki Park
Yagisaki Park, located on the south shore of Lake Kawaguchiko, was once used as the main venue for the herb festival, and you can see not only lavender, but also cherry blossoms in spring and hydrangeas in early summer. Yagisaki Park is located on the south bank of the opposite bank and is a recreational park for locals. It is a little-known spot with fewer tourists than Oishi Park on the north coast.

Hydrangea Road, located in the Fuji Subaru Land theme park, which has many attractions for both children and adults, is a hidden hydrangea viewing spot in Lake Kawaguchiko where many hydrangeas bloom every year.
Recommended spot to visit together: “Fuji Omuro Sengen-jinja Shrine”
Fuji Omuro Sengen-jinja Shrine consists of two shrines, the main shrine and the satomiya, and the main shrine is the oldest shrine on Mt. Fuji and is registered as a national important cultural property. It is also one of the Component Parts of World Heritage of the Mt. Fuji World Cultural Heritage Site. In the spring, you can enjoy the rows of cherry blossom trees in full bloom along the approach to the shrine, and in the fall, you can enjoy the autumn leaves of the rows of cherry trees.
The Yabusame Festival is held on April 29th every year, and you can enjoy the spectacular performance of archers shooting from horseback.
Fuji Omuro Sengen-jinja Shrine
[Late Jun. to Mid-Jul.] Lavender fields and spectacular views of Mt. Fuji at Oishi Park
The Kawaguchiko Herb Festival is a major event held at Oishi Park from late June to mid-July every year. It is a spectacular spot where you can see purple lavender, Lake Kawaguchiko, and Mt. Fuji at the same time. During the festival period, there will be stalls selling special products. In addition, Oishi Park has a total length of 350 meters and you can enjoy over 90 types of flowers throughout the year.

Recommended spot to visit as well: Kawaguchi Asama-jinja Shrine
Kawaguchi Asama-jinja Shrine, one of the Mt. Fuji World Cultural Heritage Sites, was built to quell the Component Parts of World Heritage of Mt. Fuji. Inside the temple grounds is a seven-cedar tree, a natural monument of Yamanashi Prefecture, which is over 1,200 years old, and you will be overwhelmed by its size.
Every year on July 28th, female children perform Chigo no Mai, an important intangible folklore of the country, which has been performed since ancient times to quell the eruption of Mt. Fuji.
[Late Jul. to Mid-Aug.] “Lake Asumi” where pretty “lotus flowers” cover the surface of the lake
Lake Asumi is counted as one of the Fuji Eight Lakes. It is a beloved place for local residents to relax and enjoy the coexistence of a wide variety of living creatures, and from July to August every year, you can see the magical lotus flowers blooming all over the lake. It is recommended to visit early in the morning or in the morning, before the lotus flowers have fully opened. During this period, you can also see hydrangeas!

Recommended spots to visit: “Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen-jinja Shrine”
This shrine is one of the World Cultural Heritage Component Parts of World Heritage of Mt. Fuji. The grounds of this ancient shrine, which has a history of more than 1,900 years, include the "Fujitaro Cedar'' tree, which is over 1,000 years old and is registered as a natural monument, and the "Honden'', "Zuishinmon'', and "Kagura'', which are designated as important cultural properties of the country.
Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen-jinja Shrine
[Early Jul. to Late Jul.] "Hakusan Rhododendron" blooms at the forest limit of Mt. Fuji's 5th station
Ochudo, located at the fifth station of Mt. Fuji, is home to a large colony of rhododendrons, which are at their best from mid-July to early August every year. The pretty pale pink flowers bloom in clusters, adding color to Mt. Fuji.
When visiting Ochudo, wear layers and comfortable clothing to help regulate your body temperature.

Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station is lined with restaurants, souvenir shops, and shrines, and is crowded with tourists. You can easily stop by even if you don't plan to climb Mt. Fuji. (Private car restrictions apply from July to August every year)
