An update on Michael Olise has now emerged as Crystal Palace enjoy a warm weather training camp under Oliver Glasner.

Michael Olise update
Well – according to The Athletic – the winger did not travel to Marbella with his teammates, and instead stayed behind in south London at Crystal Palace’s Copers Cope training ground to focus on his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.
That does come as something of a surprise, as Matheus Franca has been spotted in the background of training videos out in Marbella, despite also currently being sidelined with a groin injury.
Perhaps Olise’s problem is simply more severe, and Glasner did not want to risk flying the France U21 international out to Spain at this stage of his recovery.
The Austrian has already spoken about taking care of the 22-year-old rather than rushing him back.
It represented a welcome change in mentality compared to Roy Hodgson, who would continuously rush Olise – and also Eberechi Eze – back to action unnecessarily.
In fact, the 76-year-old caused Olise’s current issue by inexplicably bringing him on as we trailed 3-0 to Brighton, a decision which is said to have angered those in the boardroom at Crystal Palace.
Not long to wait for Crystal Palace fans
Despite the fact Olise stayed behind in south London, it should not be long until he returns to action.
An update from Alan Nixon claimed that the winger hopes to regain full fitness by the end of the international break, and is aiming to play in Crystal Palace’s clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday 30th March.
Hopefully, Olise does not suffer another setback, and he can play a big part under Glasner in the remainder of the 2023/24 campaign.
