‘Frightening’: Agbonlahor reacts to what Klopp has said about £34m Liverpool player ahead of Manchester United game

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will take on Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Liverpool have the better team and are in better form, and I think that the Reds will head into the tie against Premier League rivals Manchester United as favourites.

Of course, in a cup tie, any result is possible, and I do not expect United to get hammered. But, I am backing Liverpool to get the job done in the end.

Liverpool’s chances of winning against United will be enhanced by the fact that Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is ready to start.

In the build-up to the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that Salah is fit and available to start against United, and talkSPORT pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor thinks that it is frightening for United.

The former Aston Villa striker has noted that Salah, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez could be the front-three for Liverpool.

The pundit has backed the Reds to win the tie and hopes that the FA Cup final is between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Salah has made 31 appearances for Liverpool this season. He has scored 20 goals and given 13 assists in those games. Martin Keown has been hugely impressed.

Gabriel Agbonlahor comments on Manchester United vs Liverpool and Mohamed Salah

Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT (9:46 pm, March 16, 2024) while speaking to a Liverpool fan: “I think as well, Salah, Klopp says Salah is ready, isn’t he, to be straight back in tomorrow?

“It could be Salah, Diaz and Nunez. Frightening. I think you will win tomorrow. I am being a bit selfish, but I would love to see a Manchester City – Liverpool final.”

My View: Mohamed Salah will be key to Liverpool’s success this season

In my opinion, Mohamed Salah will be a key player for Liverpool if they are to be successful this season.

The £34 million (BBC Sport) forward is world class and is a goal machine. After a layoff due to injury, he is back scoring goals and providing assists.

Liverpool have already won the Carabao Cup this season. The Reds are now looking to clinch the Premier League, the UEFA Europa League and the FA Cup.

The Reds will need Salah’s goals to win those competitions.
