Manchester City’s draw at Anfield kept the title-race wide open, and Pep Guardiola will surely be aiming to make a big statement just before March ends.

That being said, Arsenal’s tie with Bayern Munich will then commence on 9th April, a definitive few weeks for the Gunners.

Perhaps the likes of Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus will have been reinstated in the team by that point, if they have achieved the necessary match sharpness.

But when discussing Arsenal’s tie with Bayern on the ‘Wrighty’s House’ podcast, Ian Wright admitted it was an opposition player he was most worried about.

Wright was of course discussing the threat Harry Kane always brings against Arsenal, who will this time face his old boyhood side in new colours.

Ian Wright says it’s inevitable that Harry Kane will score for Bayern against Arsenal

The pundit said he couldn’t remember the last time Kane played against Arsenal and didn’t score.

He explained: “I think that when you look at Bayern, if you play Bayern and you are moving it quick like we can do, of course we can hurt them, we have to move it quickly and we have to be ruthless.

“The fact is that Harry Kane against Arsenal is almost like a 1-0 to them already, I can’t remember him not scoring against us.

“That frightens me, but I know we can score a couple of goals against Bayern, I really genuinely believe we can.”

Of course, a lot of Arsenal fans will probably echo Wright’s thoughts heading into the two-legger against Bayern.

Kane has scored 14 goals in 19 games against Arsenal in all competitions, a rate of a goal every 116 minutes.

It’s a remarkable record, and one that Arsenal will hope to worsen during their two fixtures.

All that considered, Arsenal fans have recently been reacting to news of a key opposition player picking up an injury ahead of important games to come.
