Celtic social media post teases pre-season matches in USA

Celtic have enjoyed pre-season trips to far-flung corners of the world over the years to help boost the club’s profile and allow supporters the chance to see the Bhoys in action.

Whether it be travelling across the water to Ireland or to Australia or Japan, we’ve seen it all, and it can make for some interesting kick-off times if you are tuning in from Scotland or nearby.

Nevertheless, taking our brand across the world is an important exercise in the modern day, with the benefits there for all to see with the famous Hoops on show.

Now, the club have teased the possibility of a potential trip to the United States on official social media channels, which will evoke memories of 2010, when Celtic turned out at Fenway Park in Boston during pre-season under Neil Lennon.

In a post on X, Celtic have released an image of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Liam Scales in front of an American flag and an Irish tricolour and what appears to be the Washington Monument alongside Notre Dame University and the University of North Carolina, located on the right.

Taking a leap from the photo, multiple different locations could be scheduled for any prospective Stateside visit.

Of course, the Bhoys have an enormous fan base in the US, and any potential date in the diary would grant thousands an opportunity to see their side in action this summer.

Exciting times look to be on the horizon and you would expect a further announcement in due course following this unprompted announcement from the club.
