Spotted: What Anthony Elanga did after Nottingham Forest drew with Luton yesterday

Nottingham Forest forward Anthony Elanga played yesterday as the Reds drew 1-1 with Luton and an Instagram post has showcased what he was doing after the full-time whistle.

Elanga should have probably scored in the second half yesterday. He saw an effort cleared off the line from Teden Mengi and he was desperately unlucky not to score.

After the game, Forest ace Elanga was spotted out on the Kenilworth Road turf sharing a moment with one Luton star following a share of the spoils that doesn’t do either team too many favours.

Well, it was quite interesting that Elanga saw his best chance cleared off of the line from Mengi. The pair have a lot of time for each other having come through the academy together at Manchester United.

It would appear as though the pair have the same personal trainer too. After the game, he posted on his Instagram story – with Elanga sharing it to his – an image of Mengi and Elanga sat chatting with each other at the end.

It was a nice moment that was captured after a fierce battle between two teams fighting desperately to stay in the Premier League this season.

Forest need winger to come good again

On another day, Forest would have claimed three points, with Elanga among the goals but it just wasn’t to be. Once again, it proved a frustrating afternoon, with Forest incapable of defending set pieces.

At 21-years-old, Elanga has been a very good signing for Forest. He’s taken to playing regularly in the Premier League every week and has 12 goal contributions this season.

In recent weeks, the player has been a little wasteful in front of goal. However, he did look very sharp yesterday and hopefully more goals and assists are just around the corner.
