Eric Bailly reacts to Manchester United win, shows admiration for one player

Manchester United have to now hope Amad will build on his incredible potential after scoring a winning goal against Liverpool.

Amad made his first ever Manchester United under-21 appearance against Liverpool back in 2021, scoring a brace in a 6-3 win.

He looked like an instant star, but it has been a tough journey for him to establish himself, with three first team managers and two different loan spells.

Yesterday, Amad scored against Liverpool again, this time for the first team, a 120th minute winner to seal a dramatic 4-3 victory in the FA Cup quarter-final.

Eric Bailly lauds Amad

When Amad signed for the club, he joined his fellow Ivory Coast compatriot Eric Bailly, who was able to help him settle in.

Bailly finally left United this past summer, signing for Besiktas as a free agent, before moving to Villarreal after that deal was cut short.

Bailly is still paying close attention to Amad and Manchester United, and was delighted to see him help the team to a win v Liverpool.

Amad was sent off after his win, for a second bookable offence after he took his shirt off. But there was no harm done.

Eric Bailly shared an image via Instagram showing his admiration for Amad, with a mixture of heart, applauds, and fire emojis.

Amad must be ready for more

While Amad must serve a one-game suspension for Manchester United after this match, in the Premier League against Brentford, he must be ready to now kick on.

The frustrating element is the upcoming international break, meaning Amad will next be eligible to play for United in early April.

But there is absolutely no chance that his contribution will be forgotten, and he has earned more opportunities.

It would be great if this is the moment which transforms Amad’s career, and that this proves more than just a Federico Macheda repeat, where he fails to kick on.
