Ineos watch Manchester United win

Manchester United’s new investors Ineos can look forward to a trip to Wembley, they have watched every game in person since the takeover was confirmed.

While Sir Jim Ratcliffe has not been able to take in every game in person, key advisor Sir Dave Brailsford has, and he was in attendance for the quarter-final.

Brailsford has done a great job of keeping his emotions under wraps in front of the cameras, which is far from easy when watching Manchester United.

He did allow a glimpse into his feelings behind the scenes, as revealed by MUTV host Mark Sullivan in the channel’s Matchday Review.

Sir Dave Brailsford pumped up at Manchester United win

Brailsford left the stands and was pitchside as Manchester United soaked up the win, once fans had left the stadium.

Sullivan explained: “Sir Dave Brailsford is just walking by us there, punching the air in celebration.

“He is a very happy man, as are we all.”

Brailsford’s fist-pump celebration was off-camera, as he continues to keep his presence publicly low-key, but behind the scenes, it is clearly a different story.

United will face Coventry City in the next round, with a place in the final up for grabs against either Chelsea or Manchester City.
