10 must-see movies and TV shows coming to Netflix this week

With so much content to choose from on Netflix, it can often be hard to decide what to watch but The Focus has picked out 10 must-see movies and TV shows coming to the streaming service this week (March 18 – 24).

From enthralling biopics and fierce reality competition to the latest series from the creators of Game of Thrones, there’s undoubtedly plenty for Netflix subscribers to watch, no matter your taste.

Young Royals final episode | March 18

The week of new Netflix releases begins on March 18 with the very last episode of the hit Swedish TV series Young Royals which returned on March 11 for the first five episodes of its third and final season.

Young Royals’ last-ever episode will see Hillerska confront the worst crisis in the school’s history while Wilhelm and Simon will have to navigate heartbreaking revelations and final decisions.

Young Royals Forever | March 18

Accompanying the final episode of Young Royals will be a special behind-the-scenes documentary that explores the journey of how the series was brought to life, from the casting process until the very last take.

Forever Queens (season 2) | March 19

The Mexican reality series returns as the showbiz queens take to the stage for a new batch of episodes.

Season 2 will see the arrival of three new divas as well as a new song as the drama ramps up to new heights.

Physical: 100 (season 2) | March 19

Following its successful first season, the South Korean competition series Physical: 100 is back for a second installment.

The fiery series pits 100 new contestants against each other in order to discover the ultimate human physique.

Bodies Bodies Bodies | March 20

One of the new licensed movies hitting Netflix this week is A24’s comedy horror Bodies Bodies Bodies.

Starring Amandla Stenberg and Pete Davidson, the movie follows a group of rich twentysomethings as they arrive at a remote family mansion for a weekend of partying but their fun and games quickly turn into a waking nightmare when a party game takes on a killer twist.

Homicide: New York | March 20

From the creators of Law & Order, this new true-crime documentary series follows a group of detectives as they revisit the most challenging real-life homicide cases from their respective careers.

There’s Something in the Barn | March 20

Following its theatrical release shortly before Christmas, this festive comedy horror is finally making its way onto Netflix.

Featuring Martin Starr of the Tom Holland Spider-Man trilogy, the movie follows an American family who move to Norway after inheriting a house there. However, the dream move isn’t what they were expecting as the family discovers a mystical elf living in the barn who sets them a series of traditions to follow.

But when the family fails to abide by one of these sacred rules, the elf plots to get rid of the intruders once and for all.

3 Body Problem | March 21

Arguably the biggest new Netflix arrival of the week is the series 3 Body Problem. Based on the award-winning book trilogy by Liu Cixin, the series is the latest creation from Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss.

The sci-fi series follows a group of brilliant scientists who must unite to confront the greatest threat humanity has ever faced as the laws of nature start to unravel before their eyes.

Shirley | March 22

In her first film role since 2021’s The Harder They Fall, Regina King stars as Shirley Chisholm in this must-see biopic, telling the story of the first Black congresswoman and her trailblazing run for president of the United States in 1972.

The Casagrandes Movie | March 22

Following on from the success of the Nickelodeon TV series, The Casagrandes are making their way to Netflix for a feature-length movie.

After a surprise family trip to Mexico derails the plans that Ronnie Anne had for her birthday, she is determined to prove that she is old enough to do her own thing. However, she may find herself questioning that when she confronts an ancient demigod whose angst has apocalyptic potential.
