'Really well': Lemina says 18-year-old Wolves gem has really improved in training after initially 'struggling'

Mario Lemina has given an update on how his younger brother Noha has been getting on at Wolves since he signed on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in January.

Noha was the only signing Wolves made in January, with the club being restricted by their financial situation.

He is spending the rest of the season on loan at Molineux, and there is reportedly a buy option worth around £1.7 million.

So far, Noha has not played for Gary O’Neil‘s first-team, but has made one 45-minute appearance for the U21s against West Bromwich Albion.

But Noha is seeming going in the right direction, having made O’Neil’s last three matchday squads – and Mario has insisted his younger brother is improving…

Wolves fans are hoping that they will get a glimpse of Noha for the first-team soon,

Certainly, given the injuries to Pedro Neto and Hwang Hee-chan, the chances of him getting an opportunity soon have increased, with O’Neil ready to throw young players in, just as he has done with Nathan Fraser and Leon Chiwome.

Mario has been speaking to Wolves Express about Noha’s progression.

He admits that the teenager actually found the going quite tough when he first arrived, but has been much improved lately and has been working hard.

He said: “He’s working hard in trying to understand the way we play. He’s got a lot of strengths, but he’s young and has weaknesses. He needs to work on them to be a better player.

“He’s done really well (now). He’s been struggling, for sure, in the first week, but after that he’s been pushing really hard, as we are doing in out family. He’s been doing really well.”

Noha’s time could come soon

So it sounds like Noha took a little bit of time to find his feet, which is completely understandable.

The Lemina family have also had a very tough time, and the teenager has had a lot to contend with on the side of changing clubs.

But from what Mario has said, it may be that we will see Noha getting a first-team chance before much longer. O’Neil said when he first signed that he was ‘an exciting young talent’, and you would imagine the manager won’t hesitate to play him the second he feels he’s ready.

The injuries to Neto and Hwang have undoubtedly opened a window of opportunity for the starlet, and hopefully, he can soon convince O’Neil to throw him into a game.
