"The best"... Diogo Dalot admits his career just peaked at Old Trafford

Diogo Dalot’s Manchester United career has reached an all time high after the victory against Liverpool.

Manchester United emerged 4-3 victors in a simply chaotic Liverpool clash in the FA Cup quarter-final. An 120th minute Amad Diallo strike was the difference on the day.

Erik ten Hag‘s mighty reds are now on their way to Wembley. They’ll face Coventry in the semi-final, which will be no easy test.

They’ll need all of their players on their A-game, including Diogo Dalotwho was once again sublime in red this season agaisnt Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Diogo Dalot on ‘special’ Liverpool clash

The Portuguese full-back hardly put a foot wrong all game, and has further cemetned the fact he is an integral player for the Red Devils. He reflected after the frantic and admitted it was his best moment at Old Trafford so far as a player.

Dalot told broadcaster Sony Sports Network: “It was really special today.

“Not only the result but the atmosphere probably I have ever experienced since I arrived at this club. It was probably the best moment at Old Trafford for me.

“The scenes I saw – a lot of people crying, I saw people showing their emotions and appreciating the effort we put into that game. This makes me think this is why I came here; this is why every little kid dreams of playing for Manchester United.

“They have this special magic inside the stadium, which I cannot describe what it is and you have to come here and watch a game.”

Dalot is right, Old Trafford was seriously special against Liverpool

You’ll struggle to find a better atmopshere in world football than Old Trafford on Sunday. It was magic.

It’s days like that when, albeit given the current deteriorating state of the neglected building, you realise how great the place is.

The fans are obviously the catalysts here, but the stadium itself still is a thing of beauty. It’ll be a real shame if it’s knocked down.
