Journalist says £52m youngster’s agent was just in London, Chelsea reportedly already opened talks to sign him

Journalist Eduardo Burgos has stated that the agent of one top youngster was in London recently amid links with a move to Chelsea.

He took to Twitter to state that the agent of Estevao Willian had been seen in the English capital, as speculation continues to spread over where his future lies.

Estevao has emerged as one of the top youngsters in world football late last year, and he immediately put himself on the radar of a number of elite clubs in Europe.

Barcelona were one of those who were very keen on a deal late in 2023, however it was the Blues who reportedly opened talks with the Brazilian club over a potential deal.

While nothing has come to fruition yet after the fee required reached around £52m, their interest is still very much there to add another young player to their ranks.

The 16-year-old has adapted seemlessly to life as a senior player at Palmeiras, with him having more combined goals and assists in games in the ‘Copinha’.

It may well have been good news for supporters who are keen to continue investing in the youth that Burgos has claimed that the agents of Estevao were just seen in London.

Chelsea have huge faith in Paez

Chelsea have certainly not been shy to add young players to their ranks since Todd Boehly took over as the owner of the club.

A few of them have already begun to make a brief impact on the first team, with Cesare Casadei currently a regular off the bench for the first team.

Perhaps their star addition up to now is a player who actually won’t even be able to feature for them until next year.

Kendry Paez is already a fully-fledged international for Ecuador alongside Moises Caicedo, and a lot of people believe that he has an extremely bright future in the game.
