Report: West Ham could bring elite player with 30 G+A this term back to England for bargain £34m

West Ham United appear to be lining up a really exciting move for a red-hot attacker in the summer window.

The summer transfer window will be a vitally important one for West Ham manager David Moyes, with at least one top-class attacking signing required.

Hammers star Lucas Paqueta is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester City, and if he does leave, sufficiently replacing the enigmatic Brazilian will be crucial to our future hopes of success.

Everything good that we do goes through the former Lyon man, and bringing in someone with genuine top-class ability will be a necessity, if Paqueta does end up leaving the London Stadium.

The upcoming summer window has all the makings of a really exciting one for the West Ham fans, and I reckon we’ll sign an elite forward.

It seems like Moyes has someone very special in mind for the job…

West Ham could sign forward in the summer window for bargain £34m

According to a report from Portuguese media outlet A Bola, Moyes is keen to sign Pedro Goncalves in the summer – a player we have been linked with on numerous occasions in the past, most recently just last month.

They state that despite his £68 million release clause, the Hammers could pick him up for a bargain £34 million. What a deal that would be for us.

He has been in absolutely sensational form for Sporting so far this season, with 16 goals and 14 assists in 40 games to his name (Transfermarkt).

Wolves sold the attacker to Famalicao back in 2019, before he eventually moved on to Sporting a year later.

The 25-year-old has been a huge hit with the Portuguese giants, bagging 74 goals and 48 assists in 169 games (Transfermarkt).

The right-footed attacker can play on either wing or in the number 10 position, and he would add real quality and genuine variety to our play inside the final third.

If West Ham manage to sign Goncalves for just £34 million in the summer transfer window, it would be an unbelievably good deal for the East London outfit.
