Around this time of the season, pundits and fans like to chime in on their predictions regarding the title race, especially when it comes to Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp’s sides.

Michael Owen predicts whether Manchester City or Liverpool will win the Premier League title

If winning the title was a herculean task this season, predicting the winner is not any easier, as both teams are separated by just a single point.

League-leaders Arsenal have also been playing scintillating football and the question is whether they have learned their lessons from last season to become a more bankable side during crunch time.

Michael Owen, however, reckons Manchester City will beat Liverpool to the league title once again this season.

“I think they have the easiest run-in as well. My heart of course says Liverpool. I think it would be the most incredible story. Jurgen Klopp’s last season, but I do think Man City are the best team in the world at the moment and I can see them going into overdrive.”

“My head says Manchester City”, he said on The Kelly and Wrighty Show.

Rodri’s recent admission will give Manchester City fans confidence

Recently, Rodri claimed that “the best version” of this City side will come to the fore at the end of the season.

The Spanish midfielder also revealed that the reason why the Sky Blues tend to go on seemingly unstoppable winning runs during the latter half of most campaigns is due to Pep Guardiola, the high standards at the club and the experience they have gained over the years.

Michael Owen also sided with Manchester City over Liverpool due to these factors and with Rodri seeming as bullish about his side’s title prospects as he is, the Sky Blues supporters will likely also feel confident.

How players communicate with their fans is key and the way in which the treble-winner has will calm the club’s fanbase down amidst this ongoing frantic bid for the title crown.
