‘He was unbelievable’: Micah Richards says midfielder Arsenal sold for £24m was absolutely unreal

Micah Richards has been listing the greatest Premier League wingers of all-time.

Speaking on the Match of the Day Top 10 Podcast, Richards has been tasked with listing the top 10 wingers in Premier League history, and he had one honourable mention that he wanted to credit.

Indeed, while he wasn’t in the top 10, Richards made sure to mention that Samir Nasri was one of the better wingers in Premier League history, claiming that he was unbelievable at Arsenal before eventually making his £24m move to Manchester City, claiming that he had absolutely everything as a player.

Samir Nasri was one of the best

Richards spoke about the Frenchman and his ability.

“Let’s mention a few players who are unlucky not to be on this list. Samir Nasri, he was unbelievable at Arsenal and then when he came to City the season we won the league. He was so talented, his touch was brilliant, weight of pass was brilliant, timing of his runs, he had everything,” Richards said.

Top player

Nasri perhaps doesn’t have the legacy he should have in the Premier League.

During his time at Arsenal and Manchester City he was often overshadowed by bigger names such as Cesc Fabregas and David Silva, but make no mistake about it, Nasri was bordering on world-class in his pomp.

The midfielder had it all. His first-touch was immaculate, his dribbling ability was incredible, and when he got a sight of goal he was usually very accurate.

Nasri may well be one of the most naturally gifted players to ever play in the Premier League, but due to the teams he played in, he perhaps doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

Nasri was an absolute joy to watch on his day, and while he didn’t spent a long time or win any trophies at Arsenal, Gunners supporters will certainly have fond memories of watching the Frenchman back in the day.
