The Shark Detect Pro is the brand’s latest cordless and it’s a clever, feature-packed vacuum that makes cleaning much easier.
It had a launch price of £349.99/$379.99 and that’s the price you’ll pay today if you buy direct from Shark. Still, when we reviewed it, it had already been reduced to £279.99/$299.99 in the Black Friday sale. Now, with another 30% reduction, its price in Amazon’s Spring Sale puts it well into the budget-friendly range – although it’s far from a budget product.

- Switch on Auto mode and the Detect Pro will adapt itself to its surroundings. It’ll turn on its headlights when you vacuum a dark corner, rev up the brush bar power when it detects a carpet, turn up its suction when it finds more dust or when it’s vacuuming up against a wall. It makes vacuuming a doddle.
- It has an easy-empty bin that you won’t need to go poking around in to remove dust and hair.
- Its anti-hair wrap roller is effective against tangles of long hair and pet fur.
- It’s light and manoeuvrable, weighing just 2.76kg/6lbs.
You can also opt to get a deal on the vacuum and auto-empty stand. In the UK, Amazon’s price is £289, down from £399.99. In the US, you can currently get the full kit for just $299.95 from Amazon, down from $449.95.
